The Costa do Estoril is playing host to the 58th International Dog Show, from 21 to 23 August, and the 4th National Dog Show, on 22 August, in the park located next to the Estoril Casino gardens.

This three-day event will bring to Estoril some of the world’s best-known dog breeds, such as Water Dogs, British and Belgian Sheepdogs, German Shepherds, Boxers, Bulldogs, Terriers and Yorkies, among others.

The 58th International Dog Show, the third oldest of its kind in Portugal, will award prizes for best of breed, best young handler and young promise, male and female, as well as best pair, best breeder’s group, best progeny, best veteran, best puppy and best of Portuguese breed in accordance with the regulations of the World Canine Organisation. The 4th National Dog Show will award prizes in the same categories in accordance with the regulations of the Portuguese Kennel Club.

The event arena will also include exhibitions and stalls selling specialised books on different dog breeds.
