The International Lusitano Horse Festival aims to encourage the pure preservation of the Lusitano breed, as well as to promote the Lusitano horse beyond Portuguese borders, and takes place in June in the Manuel Possolo Hippodrome, another great reason to visit the Estoril Coast.

Started by the Associação Puro-sangue Lusitano (APSL), this Festival brings together around 300 of the best national specimens from 10 to 13 June, which compete in the different events comprising this competition.
