Increased recognition and consolidation of the destination in both international and domestic markets are key task areas. in the forthcoming year, Estoril has increased responsibilities in the tourism sector on a national level, in the continual promotion of service quality given the increasingly higher levels of consumer demands.

With a coherent events plan of international dimension, based on the development of a structured and objective policy, this events calendar becomes a fundamental pillar for the destination's marketing and positioning at both national and international levels, given its visibility and multiple experience possibilities it offers the tourist/ consumer to experience.

On the sports level, 2010 will be clearly defined by great sports events held in Estoril, namely the Estoril Portugal Golf Open, Estoril Surf Festival, Estoril Tennis Open, GCT –  Portugal Equestrian Grand Prix, Cascais Sailing 2010 and Moto GP Portugal.

On the cultural panorama, the diversity on offer is vast.  During this first quarter, you can visit the art works of one of the most important names in Portuguese painting from the early 20th century and former curator of the Condes de Castro Guimarães Museum Library, Carlos Bonvalot. The exhibit features 60 works, that show the artist's diverse facets in his pictorial approach of Cascais.
