The Condes de Castro de Guimarães Museum hosts the ‘Cascais de Carlos Bonvalot’ exhibition, which focuses on the painter’s view of the fishing village and its ways, open until 21 March 2010.

The exhibition brings together 60 works by the Portuguese painter, grouped into five themes, with portraits and family scenes, pictorial records of the town's quaint corners, the fishing routine, the folk of the sea, the painter's work in the heritage of Cascais, and finally, a space dedicated to the pioneering nature of Bonvalot in his use of scientific methods and modern laboratory processes.
